1. Make sure the telephone cord is securely connected.

Make sure no one is using the telephone while you are

 

 

communicating with another computer.

If some communications programs work but others do

 

 

not, there may be a configuration problem. For

Make sure the modem adapter card is installed

 

 

correctly. For instructions on installing adapter cards in

 

 

the system unit, see “Adding and removing adapter

 

 

cards” on page 8-4.

If you have Call Waiting feature on your phone, make

 

 

sure it is disabled.
