B.9.3 Exceptions/Trapping

A debug exception causes the p rocessor to re-direct exe cution to a debug event handlin g routine.

The Intel® 80200 processor debug architec ture defines the following deb ug exceptions:

•instruction breakpoint

•data breakpoint

•software breakpoint

•external debug break

•exception vector trap

•trace-buffer ful l b reak

When a debug exception occurs, the processor actions depend on wheth er the debug unit is

configured for Halt mode or Monitor m ode.
