1.1 Document Purpose and Scope

This document describes the In tel® IQ80321 Evaluation Pla tform Board. This platform i s targeted for

the Intel® 80321 I/O processor (8 0321). The board serves as both an evaluation platfor m for

developers using 80321 as well as a Customer Reference Board.

The IQ80321 is intended for rapid intelligent I/O development. It is based on the 80321, a

single-function device that integrates the Intel® XScale™ core (ARM* architectur e co m p l ia n t)

with intelligent peripherals including a PCI bus application bridge.
