6.The sixth hard drive kit comes with a power cable and two SATA cables. Cabling for the sixth hard drive varies depending on which mid-plane you have in your system. If you have an active mid-plane in your system, go to step 7 for cabling instructions. If you have a passive mid-plane in your system, go to step 8 for cabling instructions.

7.If you have an active mid-plane in your system, install the power cable to the backplane and the sixth HDD board (see letter “A”). Install the short SATA cable to the backplane and the sixth HDD board (see letter “B”). Proceed to step 9.
