Chapter 3 — Developing and Installing Applications

For information on how to remove the SD card, see “Using the

SD Card” on page 17.

To upgrade the operating system

1Download the latest upgrade ZIP file from the Intermec web site to your desktop PC.

2Unzip the files on your desktop PC.

3Place the SD card in the SD card reader.

4Copy the nk.bin and eboot.bin files to your SD card. Place the files in the SDMMC Disk folder.

5Insert the SD card into the CN2G.

6Open the battery door and remove the battery.

7Using the end of the stylus, press the Reset button on the inside of the battery compartment.

Do not use force or a sharp object when pressing the

Reset button. You may damage the Reset button.

8While holding the D key, install the battery. Keep holding the D key until the CN2 Bootloader Menu appears.

9Install the battery door and place the CN2G in a communications dock.

10Use the arrow keys to select Update OS + Bootloader, and press Enter. Messages about the download status appear at the bottom of the screen.
