Launching Your Application Automatically

To launch your application automatically on the CN2G every time you perform a warm or cold boot, make sure your CAB file places a shortcut to your application in the \Windows\StartUp folder.

Upgrading Your CN2G

When you upgrade your CN2G, you are updating these two components:

Operating system (OS)

Persistent Storage Manager (PSM) files

Upgrading the Operating System

When you upgrade the operating system, you erase the current configuration and replace it with the new default configuration. You will need to set the network communications parameters on the CN2G to reestablish communications with the other devices in the wireless network.

There are two ways to upgrade the OS:

You can upgrade your computer using an SD card.

You can remotely upgrade your computer using Intermec Settings.

Upgrading the Operating System Using an SD Card

To upgrade the OS, you need:

an SD card formatted as FAT16.

an SD card reader.

the latest upgrade ZIP file. This file is available from the Intermec web site at www.intermec.com. Go to Service & Support > Downloads. Make sure the file you select is for your language and that it has an SD at the end of the file name.
