Chapter 1 — Using the CN2G Handheld Computer

Use Intermec Settings to enable and disable symbologies. For help understanding how to use Intermec Settings, see “Configuring the CN2G Locally With Intermec Settings” on page 24.

To scan a bar code label with the CN2G

1Press the Power key to turn on the CN2G.

2Point the scanner window at the bar code label and hold the computer at a slight angle 15 to 25 cm (6 to 10 in) from the label.

3Press the Scan button on the keypad or one of the Side Scan buttons on the CN2G and center the red beam so that it falls across all bars in the bar code label.

Use this test bar code:

When the CN2G successfully reads a bar code label, you hear a high beep and the green Good Read light turns on briefly.

4Release the Scan button or Side Scan button.
