Using Walking Foot

1Thumb screw

2 Foot holder

3 Lever

4 Needle clamp

5 Presser bar

This is a special attachment for hard-to-feed materials. This foot prevents fabric slipping or puckering by feeding fabrics with both upper and lower feed dogs. The walking foot is great for fine fabrics, knits, leather and matching plaids.

1Turn off the switch

2Raise the needle and presser foot.

3Loosen the thumbscrew and remove the foot holder (Refer to page 12)

4Attach walking foot to the presser bar with the lever above the needle clamp, and secure it with the thumb screw.

NOTE:

Sew at low to medium speed.

Set the stitch length in the range of 0-4.

NOTES:

When using the 1/4ý seam foot, make sure to use the center needle position, otherwise the needle may strike the presser foot and possibly break.

Use a #11 blue stretch needle, which effectively prevents skipped stitching.

Using the black bar as a guide, straight stitch fabric pieces together. Use for keeping layers of fabric feeding evenly. This foot is a must for sewing lightweight fabrics, matching plaids, stripes and quilting.
