filter access panel.
2. Lift and remove the drain filter from the
drawer.
3. Empty the drain filter, and rinse it with

To Clean The Filter Plate
NOTE: Make sure that the dishwasher is cool
before you start cleaning the filter plate.
1. Remove the spray arm and drain filter, as
described in the previous sections.
2. In the center of the filter plate, there are
two rings: an outer ring and a center ring.
Hold the center ring still, and turn the outer
ring counterclockwise about 1/8-turn so
that the tabs and notches in both rings are
aligned. This will release the filter plate.

3. Lift the filter plate and remove it from the
unit. Use hot, soapy water, and remove
any soil that is present. Rinse the filter
plate thoroughly in clean water.
4. Wipe the heater plate that is located in the
drawer with a damp cloth.
5. Replace the filter plate so that it lies flat in
the base of the drawer.
6. Align the outer ring tabs with the notches
in the center ring. Hold the center ring
steady, and turn the outer ring clockwise
until the lines that are on the two rings
align. NOTE: When properly installed, you
should not be able to move the filter plate.
IMPORTANT: The drawer must be used with
the filter plate, drain filter, and spray arm cor-
rectly in place.
THE SOUND SYSTEM
The WHISPER QUIET sound insulation sys-
tem helps to maintain a quiet home environ-
ment during dishwasher operation.
NOTE: If you do not load dishes properly, the
quiet operation of the dishwasher could be
affected.
THE DRYING SYSTEM
At the end of the selected wash program, the
drying fan will continue to run for a set time, or
until the drawer is opened. The fan assists with
drying, and uses a small amount of energy.
