Inserting a Negative or Mounted Slide in the Scanner
Select the appropriate film holder for the negative or mou nted slide you will be
scanning.

Preparing a Carded Negative

IMPORTANT: For best focus, use the film holder that is closest to the siz e of the
opening in the aperture card.
1. Lift the film holder’s magnetic sheet.
2. With the emulsion side toward the rear of the scanner, locate the carded
negative on the film holder’s two pins.
3. Carefully close the magnetic sheet over the carded neg ative.
