Loading Paper in the Cassettes

The standard cassette will each hold plain paper, recycled paper or color paper.

The standard cassette holds up to 250 sheets of A4 or smaller plain paper (80 g/m2).

The following paper sizes are supported: Legal, Oficio II, Letter, Executive, Statement, A4, B5, A5, A6, Folio, and 16K.

IMPORTANT:

• You should not use inkjet printer paper or any paper with a special surface coating. (Such papers may cause paper jams or other faults.)

• When using media types other than plain paper (such as recycled or colored paper), always specify the media type setting. (Refer to Specifying Paper Size and Media Type for the Cassettes on page 2-38) The cassettes can hold paper with weights up to 120 g/m2.

• Do not load thick paper that is heavier than 120 g/m2 in the cassettes. Use the multi purpose tray for paper that is heavier than 120 g/m2.

1 Pull the cassette completely out of the machine.

IMPORTANT: When pulling the cassette out of the machine, ensure it is supported and does not fall out.

2 Press the bottom plate down until it locks.
