Installing and removing options

Removal

1Remove the system board access cover. (See Accessing the printer system board.)

Note: If an option card has been installed, you may need to remove the option card before removing the flash memory or firmware card.

2Squeeze the flash memory or firmware card locking clips.

3Pull the card out.

Avoid touching the metal pins on the bottom of the card.

4Place the flash memory or firmware card in its original packaging.

If you do not have the original packaging, wrap the flash memory or firmware card in paper, and store it in a box.

5If you removed an option card to access the flash memory or firmware card, reinstall the option card.
