Volume activation of Office 2013 Preview

Audience: IT Professionals

Microsoft policy requires the activation of all editions of Office 2013 Preview client software, including Volume License editions. For Office 2013 Preview, volume activation occurs through Office Activation Technologies, which are based on the Software Protection Platform (SPP) that is used in Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012.

Important:

This information applies to volume-licensed editions of Office 2013 Preview. It does not apply to either Office Professional Plus for Office 365 or Office 365 ProPlus Preview, both of which are licensed through subscription.
