IR Emitters connected to these jacks are used by the NetCommand system of the TV to control external analog devices such as cable boxes, VCRs, DVDs, satellite receivers and audio receivers. This system is also coordinated with the TV Guide On Screen® system for the control of cable boxes and to activate the record feature of
your VCR. Either connection can be used for NetCommand functions.
