5.3 V.35 Shunt

Step Procedure

1Desktop version: Unplug the power supply from the back of the unit.

Rack version: Remove the unit from the RackTalker rack. Go to step 4.

2Desktop version only: Turn the unit upside down and remove the two cabinet mounting screws from the middle of the cabinet.

3Desktop version only : Turn the cabinet right-side up, tilt the back down slightly, and the base unit will slide out of the cabinet.

4Desktop and rack versions: Place the unit with the LEDs facing you.

5Pry the shunt out of the RS232 socket and insert it into the V.35 socket. Rack version: Go to step 8.

6Desktop version only: Slide the base back into the cabinet with the LEDs toward the front and the rear grounding tabs pressing against the side of the cabinet.

7Desktop version only: Turn the unit upside down and replace the two cabinet mounting screws.

8Desktop version: Turn the unit right-side up and reconnect the power supply.

Rack version: Slide the unit into the RackTalker card guides and, after ensuring that the DataTalker is fully seated, fasten the retaining screws.
