As ano utput, the GPCTR1_GATEsignal monitors the actual gate signal
connectedto general-purpose counter 1, even if the gate is being externally
generated byan other PFI. This output is set to high-impedance at startup.
Figure 4-35 showsthe timing requiremen tsf orth e GPCTR1_GATEsignal.

GPCTR1_OUT SignalThis signal is available only as an output on the GPCTR1_OUT pin. The
GPCTR1_OUTsignal monitors the TC device general-purpose counter 1.
Youhave two software-selectable output options—pulse on TC andtoggle
output polarity on TC. The output polarity is software selectable for both
options. This output is set to high-imp edance at startup. Figure 4-36 shows
the timing requirements for the GPCTR1_OUT signal.

GPCTR1_UP_DOWN SignalThissignal can be externally in put on the DIO7 pin and is not available as
an outputon the I/Oconnector. General-purpose counter 1 counts down
whenthis pin is at a lo gic low and counts up at a logic high. This input can
be disabled so that software can control the up-down functionality and
