Type "portcfggport x y" to change the topology of a port.

Value "x" is the number of the port whose topology is to be changed. External ports available to N8406-019: 17 - 20

External ports available to N8406-020: 17 - 23 and 0

Value "y" shows whether fixing the port topology to be set is enabled or disabled. 0 = Disable or 1 = Enable

„ The topology of a specific port in an FC Switch Module can be changed individually.

„The topologies of internal ports cannot be fixed.

„ Any port for which the setting is made enabled cannot accept the connection of a loop device.

„Always specify "Enable" if devices are connected with which port mode is fabric (point-to-point). If "disable" is selected, some connected devices may not be recognized.

„When cascading connection is made between the FC Switch Modules, the ports used for cascading path must be set “Enabled”.

4.After the setting is changed completely, type "portcfgshow".

Check if the new setting resulting from the change is made effective. The setting is completed if the information on each changed port appears as shown below.
