Configuration via the Command Line Interface
Procedure In order to set up a basic IPSec configuration, the following main steps have to be executed.
1Prepare the Peer attributes:
Define a valid Authentication Attribute
Define a valid Peer Security Descriptor
2Create a new Peer entity
3Modify the Peer parameters
4Prepare a valid Connection Security Descriptor.
5Prepare a valid Network Descriptor.
6Create a new Connection.
7Set the parameters of the new Connection. Refer to the corresponding Peer
Refer to the relevant Connection Security Descriptor Modify the Connection parameters
8Start the Connection.
Each of these steps is explained in more detail in the subsequent sections. The order of these sections corresponds to the sequence of the configuration steps.
