Diagnosing and correcting the problem
Before you perform the
1Set the switches for all power supplies in the upper and lower chassis to the off position (O = Off).
2Set the six circuit breakers on the BIP front panel to the off position (O = Off).
3Check that all cables are installed properly, and that all power supplies are firmly seated in their bays.
4Set the six circuit breakers on the BIP front panel to the on position ( = On).
5Set the switches for all power supplies in the upper and lower chassis to the on position ( = On).
6Verify the following LEDs on the BIP:
—The (white) POWER Indicator on the BIP
—The (green) shelf alarm cable validation LED is on steady.
7Verify the following LEDs on the 8010co chassis:
—The (green) power supply LEDs for each power supply in both the upper and lower chassis are on.
—The chassis fans are powering up.
8If the problem still persists, go to the next section, “Corrective actions” on page 71.
