Controlling the AV Receiver

To control the AV receiver, press the [RECEIVER] button to select Receiver mode.

You can also use the remote controller to control your DVD/BD player, CD player, and other components. See page 125 for more details.

*1 When you want to change the remote controller mode without changing the current input source, press the [MODE] button and within about eight seconds, press the REMOTE MODE button. Then, with the AV receiver’s remote controller, you can control the component corresponding to the button you pressed.

aSTANDBY button (42)

Sets the AV receiver to Standby.

bON button (42)

Turns on the AV receiver.

cACTIVITIES buttons (64, 137)

Used with the MACRO function.

dREMOTE MODE/INPUT SELECTOR buttons (60, 127 to 133)

Selects the remote controller modes and the input sources.

eSP LAYOUT button (63)

This button is used to change Front High speakers and Front Wide speakers and Surround Back speak- ers.

fArrow [q]/[w]/[e]/[r] and ENTER buttons

Used to select and adjust settings.

gSETUP button

Used to change settings.

hLISTENING MODE buttons (74)

Used to select the listening modes.

iDIMMER button (62)

Adjusts the display brightness.

jDISPLAY button (61)

Displays information about the current input source.

kMUTING button (62)

Mutes or unmutes the AV receiver.

lVOL [q]/[w] button (60)

Adjusts the volume of the AV receiver regardless of the currently selected remote controller mode.

mVIDEO button (43, 47, 95)

Used to change video settings.

nRETURN button

Returns to the previous display when changing set- tings.

oAUDIO button (104)

Used to change audio settings.

When the “Audio TV Out” setting is set to “On” (page 100), this button is disabled.

pSLEEP button (62)

Used with the Sleep function.
