WebManager

Downloading the Configuration

When you have completed all your configu rati on changes, click the Download All Changes button
to download the configuration to the IOLAN. You must reboot the IOLAN for your configuration
changes to take effect.

WebManager

Overview
The Web Manager is a web browser-based method of configuring /m a naging the IOLAN. It follows
the same design as the DeviceManager, so it is easy to switch between the WebManager and
DeviceManager when configuring you r IOLAN. See Chapter 5, Using DeviceManager and
WebManager on page 83 for information on configurin g/managing the IOLAN with DeviceManager.
Access Platforms
You can access the IOLAN through WebManager from any system that can run a web browser.
WebManager can be accessed by the admin user or any user who has Admin Level privileges.
Features
WebManager supports the following features:
zThe ability to open a session to the IOLAN and download a (saved) configuration fi le to it.
zThe ability to save a configuration fil e locall y in text format, in addition to the binary format.
zThe ability to download/upload keys/certificates to/from the IOLAN.
zThe ability to download custo m files, such as new terminal definitions and a custom language
files to the IOLAN.
zFrom WebManager, you can launch EasyPort Web, which can be used to:
zaccess clustered IOLANs
zaccess ports configured with the Console Server profile and launch an SSH or Telnet session
to those console ports
zexercise power management capability (when using the Perle Remote Power Switch)
