5 Adjust the original quality, and then select “OK”.

Original Type

Select for text-only originals.

Select for originals in which text and photos are mixed.

Select for photo-only originals.

zIf a photo original is scanned in "Text" mode, the scanned image can be indistinguishable in the halftone area.

Density

If you wish to scan a original with lighter contrast, select the button to reduce the contrast level. Each time the button is selected, the original will be scanned lighter.

If you wish to scan a original with darker contrast, select the button to increase the contrast level. Each time the button is selected, the original will be scanned darker.
