Chapter 26 – Maintaining The Router
The created archive can be immediately uploaded if desired by following the
“Upload A Copy Of This Archive..” link.
Note: I f you use the Inter net Explor er web bro wser, you must “Rig ht-click” the link
and save the file manually. Otherwis e Interne t Explorer will ren ame the fi le after
uploadin g, prevent ing its u se in a su bsequent archive re store.
Archive Restore

The restore process begins by selecting an archive to restore from. Following an
archive link will restore the archive and reboot the router.
Note: S ome manu ally (and even au tomatical ly) crea ted archi ves are not possi ble to
restore. If the router wa s upgrad ed after the arch ive was c reated, t he archi ve will h ave old,
confusin g and po ssible mi ssing co nfigurati ons. Th e Versio n field indicate s this. The
latestar chive an d factory default archives always h ave the c urrent re lease ver sion (an d are
always a ble to b e restore d). If an archiv e has a l ower ver sion numb er, it w ill not be
restorab le.
The latestarchive and factorydefault archives are always able to be restored.
Click on one of the links under Archive Name to start the restore. Starting the restore
results in the following display.

To begin the restoring process, click the Start Restore button.
