Notification Panel
The Notification panel displays details about your phone’s
status, plus easy access to common settings and features.
1. From the Home screen, swipe your finger down from
the Status bar at the top of the screen to display the
Notification panel.
2. From the Notification panel, you have these options:
Tap a notification for more information, or to launch the app
that triggered the notification.
Tap
Clear
to remove all notifications from the panel.
Touch and slide the scale to set the screen brightness, or tap
Auto
to allow your device to set brightness automatically based
on available light.
Tap
Settings
to configure settings. For more information
about settings, see
“Settings”
on page93.
Tap a Quick setting to turn it on or off. You can swipe your finger
across the settings to see all available settings.
Tap
Grid
to display all quick settings. You can tap a
setting to turn it on or off, or tap
Edit
to choose settings to
display on the Notifications panel.
Update Available
: An update is available for an
installed app.
Missed Call
: Displays when there is a missed call.
New message
: Displays when there is a missed
message.
Voicemail
: You have a voicemail message.
Blocking mode activated
: Notifications for selected
features are disabled. You receive only notifications
of incoming calls from people on the allowed list.
Private mode activated
: Personal content is hidden
on certain applications from anyone else using this
device.
Smart Stay activated
: Your screen stays on as long
as you are looking at it.
