Specifying file information

You can specify a user name, file name, and password for a stored scan data file.

When this function is used, you can search for files by user name or file name, and you can prevent unauthor- ized persons from accessing the files.

Note

The file name can be up to 64 char- acters long, The user name can be up to 20 characters long. The first 16 characters are shown on the control panel. With DeskTopBind- er V2 Lite/Professional installed on a client computer, you can view the entire string.

A Display the File Information screen.

APress [Store File].

BPress [File Information].

The File Information screen is displayed.

The following screen is dis- played when the network deliv- ery scanner function is used.

B Specify file information.

Specifying a user name

APress [User Name].

The User Name screen is dis- played.

Note

If no user name is programed in System Settings under the Administrator tab, the User Name screen does not ap- pear. Instead, the Non-pro- gramed Name screen is displayed. Enter the user name.

BSelect the desired user name.

Note

The user names shown here are names that were pro- gramed in System Settings under the Administrator tab. To enter a name not shown here, press [Non-programed Name], and then enter the user name.
