Configuring the main target language (A-channel) of a booth

To configure the main target language of a booth:

￿From the central unit’s operating menu, choose “Interpretation”, “Configuration” and “Select Booth” one after the other.

The current booth number is shown on the display.

￿Choose the number of the booth whose main target language (A-chan- nel) you want to configure and press the ENTER key.

￿Choose “Language” and press the ENTER key.

The current main target language is shown on the display.

￿Choose the desired main target language and press the ENTER key to save your setting.

The configuration of the main target language of a booth cannot be changed on the interpreter consoles!

Example:

Let us assume that the active languages at a conference are English, German and French. You then have to configure e.g. an “English” booth by choosing “English” as the main target language for this booth.

Configuring the second target language (B-channel) of a booth

An interpreter may work into several target languages. In order that the interpreter is able to interpret into a second language, the B-channel has to be configured to this language.

Note!

The second target language must already be configured as the main target language of another booth!

The B-channel can be configured either via the interpreter console – even during a conference – (see “Configuring the B-channel of an interpreter console” on page 38) or via the central unit’s operating menu:

￿From the central unit’s operating menu, choose “Interpretation”, “Configuration” and “Select booth” one after the other.

The current booth number is shown on the display.

￿Choose the number of the booth whose second target language (B- channel) you want to configure and press the ENTER key.

￿Choose B-Channel and press the ENTER key. A booth number is shown on the display.

￿Choose the number of the booth whose main target language corre- sponds to the language you want to configure for the B-channel.

Example:

Let us assume that there are three interpreter booth:

Booth 1 for the target language English

Booth 2 for the target language French

Booth 3 for the target language German

In order to set the B-channel of booth 3 to English, choose “1” from the

B-channel menu.
