Trouble check

If you run into any problem using the camcorder, use the following table to troubleshoot the problem. Should the difficulty persist, disconnect the power source and contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility.

The power goes off.

• The battery is dead.

The battery pack is quickly discharged.

The ambient temperature is too low. (p. 59)

The tape does not move when a tape transport button is pressed.

The POWER switch is set to CAMERA or OFF. mSet it to PLAYER. (p. 24)

The tape has run out.

mRewind the tape or use a new one. (p. 24)

The date or time indicator is flashing.

The lithium battery is weak or dead.

mReplace the lithium battery with a new one. (p. 56)

You pressed DATE and TIME together for more than 2 seconds. The camcorder is not malfunctioning.

mYou may start recording. Flashing will stop soon.
