Dialing Options
When you enter numbers in standby mode, you will see a
variety of dialing options displayed on the phone’s screen.
vCall dials the displayed phone number.
vContacts Match allows you to find Contacts entries that
match the displayed number.(When morethan three
numbers are entered, this option is displayed.)
vSend Messageallowsyou to send a textmessage or picture
mail to the number being dialed.
vSave allows you to enter a seven- or ten-digitnumber
(phone number and area code) and save the phone
number in your Contacts. (See “Saving a Phone Number”
onpage32.)
vFind allowsyou to enter a digitor string of digits to display
Contacts entries thatcontain the entered numbers.

vHard Pause allows you to enter a hard pause. (See “Dialing
and Saving Phone Numbers With Pauses”on page 33.)
v2-sec Pause allows you to enter a two-second pause.

Tip To speed dial a phone number from standby mode, press
and hold the speed dial number. If the speed dial number is
two digits, enter the firstdigit, and then press and hold the
second digit. (For information on setting up speed dial
numbers, see “Assigning Speed Dial Numbers”on page 83.)
(This feature will notwork when you are roaming off the
SprintNational Network; when roaming you mustdial
using eleven digits [1 + the area code + the seven-digit
phone number.])
