Display Settings

Changing theTextGreeting

A text greeting is displayed on your phone's screen in standby mode. Choose the phone’s default greeting (“Sprint”), or enter your own custom greeting.

1.Press Menu>Settings/Tools>Settings>Display> MainScreen>Foregrounds>Greeting>Custom.

2.Usethenumeric keypad or the QWERTYkeyboard to enter a new customgreeting. (See “EnteringText”on page 37.) (To erase the existing greeting one character at a time, press .To erase the entire greeting, press and hold .)

3.Press tosaveyournewgreeting.

Changing the BacklightTime Length

Select how long the display screen and keypad remain backlit after any keypress is made.

1.Press Menu>Settings/Tools>Settings>Display> MainScreen>Backlight.

2.Select a time setting and press .

Note Long backlight settings reduce the battery’s talk and standby times.
