18. END/POWER Keylets you turn the phone on or off, end a
call, or return to standby mode. While in the main menu,
itreturns the phone to standby mode and cancels your
input. When you receive an incoming call, press to enter
silentmode and mute the ringer.
19. Keypadlets you enter numbers, letters, and characters,
and navigate within menus. Press and hold keys 2–9 for
speed dialing.
20. SYM Key allows you to enter symbols when entering text
using the QWERTY keyboard.
21. Function Keyallows you enter the alternate character
(such as @ for the S key) on the QWERTY keyboard. (See
“Entering TextWith the QWERTY Keyboard”on page 41 for
details.)
22. SHIFTKey lets you change letter capitalization when
entering textusing the QWERTY keyboard.
23. SPACEKeylets you enter a space.
24. Softkeysletyou select softkey actions or menu items
corresponding to the bottom leftand rightlines on the
display screen.
25. BACKKeydeletes characters from the display in textentry
mode. When in a menu, press this key to return to the
previous menu.
26. ENTERKeyselects the highlighted choice when navigating
through a menu.
