Setting Up Your Phone

1. Install the battery (if necessary).

nInsertthe battery into the opening, making sure the

connectors align. Gently press down to secure the

battery.

2. Press to turn the phone on.

nIf your phone is activated, itwill turn on, search for

Sprintservice, and enter standby mode.

nIf your phone is notyetac tivated, or if itis locked, see

“Activating Your Phone”on the following page for

more information.

3. Make your firstcall.

nUse your keypad to enter a phone number.

nPress .

Note Your phone’s battery should have enough charge to turn on,

find a signal, setup your voicemail, and make a call. You

should fully charge your battery as soon as possible. See

“Charging the Battery”on page 22 for details.
