Auto Find Feature: It is necessary to connect the Validator-NT remote unit to the other end of the cable to measure for both Speed and Performance. If the remote is not plugged in a message will appear “Remote not found. Alternating between Tone and Test.” We call this “Auto Find” and it is a feature that let’s you start the test and then go to the other end where the remote should be plugged in. If the end of the cable being tested is not known Validator-NT helps by generating tone on the line so that a tone probe can be used to locate the far end of the cable. Auto Find will terminate when the remote is plugged in.
