4.5.1 Keyboard

Removing the keyboard

The following describes the procedure for removing the keyboard (See Figure 4-7 to 4-9).

CAUTION: As the keytop may fall out, when handling the keyboard always hold it by the frame and do not touch the keytop.

1.Open the display.

2.Insert your finger into the spaces between the keyboard brace and the computer. Then, lift up the keyboard brace to unlatch and remove it.

3.Remove the following screw fixing the speaker cover assembly.

• M2.5⋅4B FLAT BIND screw

4. Slide the speaker cover assembly to the arrow direction and pull up to remove.
