Dial Type Entry

There are two types of dialing modes: MF (Multi-frequency) and DP (Dial Pulse).

If your telephone emits tones when you are dialing, this usually indicates that you have a MF type (default setting). Otherwise, you will have to select the DP setting.

1 Display the DIAL TYPE Menu.

• For Multi-Frequency type, press

• For Dial Pulse type, press

Enter any “DELETE ACCESS DIGIT” number.

• Access digit are numbers which are required by PBX

 

systems to access the phone system “outside” the PBX.

 

• Access digits such as 9 and pause need to be omitted when

 

using the chain dialing function.

 

• If you do not require the “DELETE ACCESS DIGIT” function,

 

press the

key to skip this setting.
