2-4 BASIC OPERATION
• Polling transmission ( See page 3-23.)
You can store originals in memory, and wait for a request to send the originals from a remote FAX.
When a request arrives, the originals are automatically sent to the remote FAX that sent the request.
In this way, the remote FAX can receive originals at any convenient time.
A password prevents non-admission users from using the machine.
• Security TX ( See page 4-27.)
You can prevent your FAX from sending to an incorrect remote FAX by using this mode.
• Multi-address transmission ( See page 3-7.)
You can designate two or more FAXes by using this mode. There are two types of multi-address
transmissions; Individual Multi-address transmission and Group Multi-address transmission.
• Sub-address communications ( See page 4-50.)
This function attaches a sub-address to the standard destination address in the event the remote
party requires one.
Three types of sub-addresses can be used (SUB, SEP, and PWD); or any combination of two or three
types can be used. After selecting the desired types, the transmission to follow will be sent to the
desired address using the designated sub-address.
