Diagnosis programs
You can use a diagnosis routine to check
the key panel and the print unit of your
fax machine. The following criteria can be
tested:

Key panel:

• All LEDs are activated so that they
flash at regular intervals.
• All segments of the display are acti-
vated so that they change from bright
to dark at regular intervals.
• The slide register of the display is
checked.
• The functioning of all keys can be
checked interactively.

Print unit:

• Contrast ratios from white to black
areas.
• Density of printout.
• Resolution of laser unit.
• Evenness of printout.
• Geometry of printout.
• Toner consumption test (constant
printouts)

All lamps flash, all segments of the
display are activated at regular intervals.
confirm with START
The slide register on the display is tested
by a black bar which moves from top left
to bottom right. The bar must appear in
every segment of the display and must
not stop anywhere. Press any key, apart
from STOP key. The designation of the
key which has been pressed is displayed.
The function of each key can be tested
individually in this way.
Press STOP, return to standby
mode
