Enable Web User Interface Authentication

A second, networked Authentication Server will be necessary for web user Interface Authentication, if this feature is additionally desired. Full instructions for configuring network authentication, using Kerberos, NDS, SMB, and LDAP/LDAPS are contained in the Network Authentication section of this guide.

The path to the Authentication Server configuration screen is:

1.At a networked workstation, open your Web browser and enter the TCP/IP address of the machine in the Address or Location field. Press [Enter].

2.Click the [Properties] tab.

3.Enter the Administrator User name (admin) and Password (1111), if prompted.

4.Select the symbol to the left of [Security].

5.Select [Authentication Configuration].

6.Verify that the Personalization checkbox is checked.

7.Select [Xerox Secure Access] from the Device User Interface Authentication box.

8.Select [Remotely on the Network] from the Web User Interface Authentication box.

9.Select [Remotely on the Network] from the Authorization box.

10.Click [Next].

11.Click the [Configure] or [Edit] button for Web User Interface Authentication.

12.Follow the instructions contained in the Network Authentication section of this guide to set up your selected Authentication Server.

Configure your LDAP Server

Configure LDAP communications on the multifunction device as stated in the LDAP/LDAPS topic in the Authentication section of this guide.
