Connections

Connecting the speaker cable

1Remove approximately 10 mm (0.4 in) of insulation from the end of each speaker cable and then twist the exposed wires of the cable together to prevent short circuits.

2Loosen the knob using the supplied speaker terminal wrench.

Speaker terminal wrench

Red: positive (+)

Black: negative (–)

3Insert one bare wire into the hole on the side of each terminal.

4Tighten the knob to secure the wire using the supplied speaker terminal wrench.

5Hook the speaker terminal wrench onto the WRENCH HOLDER on the rear panel of this unit when not in use.

Connecting to the SP2 speaker

Connect Zone 2 or Zone 3 speakers to these terminals (see page 117).

1Open the tab.

Red: positive (+)

Black: negative (–)

2Insert one bare wire into the hole on the terminal.

3Close the tab to secure the wire.
