Your 8405 Voice Terminal

The 8405 voice terminal is available in four models. All of these models are similar in appearance and functionality except for the following differences:

The 8405B has a one-way listen-only speaker, with no display

The 8405B Plus has a two-way, listen and talk speakerphone, but does not have a display

The 8405D has a one-way, listen-only speaker, with a 2-line, 24-character display

The 8405D Plus has a two-way, listen and talk speakerphone, with a 2-line, 24-character display

Despite their differences, all four models are comprehensively equipped so you can make the best use of the many features of the DEFINITY® Communications System Generic 2 and the features of System 85.

Figure 1 and Figure 2 show the 8405B and 8405B Plus models. Figure 3 and Figure 4 show the 8405D and 8405D Plus (with display) models. Familiarize yourself with your voice terminal, shown here and explained on the following pages.
