Canceling AEB

Follow steps 1 and 2 to set the AEB

amount to < >. The AEB setting will be canceled automatically if the power switch is set to <2>, obtain flash-ready, etc.

Shooting Tips

Using AEB with continuous shooting.

If <i> continuous shooting (p.63) has been set and you press the shutter button completely, the three bracketed shots will be taken continuously in this sequence: Standard, decreased, and increased exposure.

Using AEB with <u> single shooting.

Press the shutter button three times to take the three bracketed shots. The three bracketed shots will be exposed in the following sequence: Standard, decreased, and increased exposure.

Using AEB with exposure compensation.

Centering on the exposure compensation amount, AEB will be taken.

Using AEB with the self-timer.

With self-timer <> or <l>, you can take three continuous shots. With <q> set, the number of continuous shots will be three times the number set (p.53).

Neither flash nor bulb exposures can be used with AEB.

If the [7Custom Functions (C.Fn)] menu’s [Auto Lighting Optimizer]

(p.156) is set to [0: Enable], the AEB may not be effective. Set it to [1: Disable] if you want to obtain the results of the AEB setting.
