Configuring the non-Hot Plug HDD cage

This section includes instructions for removing and installing the non- Hot Plug HDD cage as well as procedures on how to install a hard disk into the cage.

To remove the cage

1Turn off the system and all the peripherals connected to it.

2Unplug all cables from the power outlets.

3Place the system on a flat, stable surface.

4Remove the front bezel, inner front panel, side panel, and air baffle.

5Disconnect the HDD bus cable and the HDD power cable from the hard disk drive.

6Loosen the four thumbscrews that secure the cage to the chassis

(1).

7 Removet the cage from the chassis (2).
