Close the retard cover in the direction of the arrow as shown in the following diagram.
•When you close the retard cover, close it securely until the cover is locked. Do not slam the
retard cover.
Close the ADF door.
•When you close the ADF door, close it securely until the door is locked. Do not slam the ADF
door.
Proceed to the following section, “Cleaning the Drive Rollers and Free Rollers in the ADF”.
Cleaning the Drive Rollers and Free Rollers in the ADF
Press the power button to the OFF position.
Push the ADF door release button to open the ADF door.
