Replacing the Retard Roller Module
Replace both the feed roller module and the retard roller module after 300,000 scans. Replace the roller
modules more often if you find that cleaning inside the scanner no longer improves paper jamming,
slipping, multi-feeding, marking and similar feeding problems.
Preparation: Open the Roller Exchange Kit. Roller Exchange Kits are available from the Böwe Bell +
Howell Scanning Essentials online store at http://webstore.bbhscanners.com or from the reseller where
you purchased the Trūper scanner. See also the “Consumable Parts and Accessories List” on page13.
Press the power button to the OFF position.
Push the ADF door release button to open the ADF door.
Open the retard roller cover by pulling up the cover from the right side. Pull the cover in the
direction of the arrow marked next to the indented section on the cover.
