15 Connect the handset, power cord and telephone line cord.

16 Set date and time

1Press Menu/Set, 1, 2.

2Enter the last two digits of the year, and press Menu/Set. “01” represents the year 2001 in the machine.

ENTER YEAR:XX

3Enter two digits for the month and press Menu/Set.

ENTER MONTH:XX

4Enter two digits for the day and press Menu/Set.

ENTER DAY:XX

5Enter the time in 24 hour format and press Menu/Set.

ENTER TIME:XX:XX

6Press Stop to exit. (See “Setting the Date and Time” in this chapter .)

17 Set station ID

1Press Menu/Set, 1, 3.

2Enter your fax number (up to 20 digits) and press Menu/Set.

FAX:

3Enter your telephone number (up to 20 digits) and press Menu/Set.

4Enter your name (up to 20 characters) using the dial pad and the chart.

To enter a space press twice.

NAME:

5Press Menu/Set.

6Press Stop. (See “Setting the Station ID” in this chapter .)

18 Using the telephone

1Pick up the handset.

2When you hear a dial tone, dial the number, using the dial pad.

3To hang up, replace the handset on its cradle.
