Syntax: soft-reset

Description: This command restarts the software image,

which restores the user conﬁguration settings

from NVRAM. The user will be queried to

conﬁrm the reset command to ensure against

unwanted resets.

Options: Not Applicable

Example:

telnet:

Syntax: telnet [IP address] [Port #]

Description: The telnet command allows the user to

communicate with another host (that supports

Telnet connections) using the Telnet protocol.

The user must specify the remote host using its

IP address. The [IP address] ﬁeld is mandatory.

If no Port number is speciﬁed, telnet will

attempt to contact the host at the default port.

Options: Not Applicable

TIP

The Network Tools connection to the device will be terminated

upon execution of this command.
