Chapter 3: Installation

3.2UNPACKING THE 2E43-51

To unpack the 2E43-51 and verify the contents of the shipment, proceed as follows:

1.Open the carton and remove the packing material protecting the 2E43-51.

2.Verify the contents of the carton as listed in Table 3-1.

3.Remove the black and yellow tape seal on the non-conductive bag to remove the 2E43-51.

4.Perform a visual inspection of the device for any signs of physical damage. If there are any items missing or damaged, contact the Cabletron Systems Global Call Center as described in Section 1.6.

3.3INSTALLING OPTIONS

Install any optional equipment before proceeding to Section 3.4.
