LDAP is Highly Complex
Caution LDAP-related features of Cisco DMS are meant for use by qualified and experienced admini strators of
MicrosoftActive Directory. Unless you are an Active Directory and LDAP expert, we recommend that you use
embeddedauthentication.
Plan Ahead
Install and configure Active Directory and Internet Information Services (IIS) before you try to
configure LDAP authentication mode or federation mode in DMS-Admin.
Tip We support IIS6 on Windows Server 2003.
Make sure that you have generated or imported certificates as necessary and activated SSL on the
ActiveDirectory server before you try to configure SSL encryption.
