■Contents of the operating system startup files
■Current memory configuration
■ROM versions
■Type of processor and coprocessor
■Diskette,
■Active printer and communications interfaces
■Modem type installed
■Graphics settings
NOTE: Categories or items of information displayed by View System Information (INSPECT) are similar to, but may vary slightly from, those available in Compaq Diagnostics for Windows NT.

Using Computer Checkup (TEST) or View
System Information (INSPECT)
NOTE: Before you run Computer Checkup (TEST) or View System Information (INSPECT), you must create a diagnostics diskette. Refer to the section “Creating a Diagnostics Diskette” in this chapter for instructions.
1.Restart your workstation from the diagnostics diskette you have created.
2.Press Enter to bypass the welcome screen.
3.Select either Computer Checkup (TEST) or View System Information (INSPECT), then press the Enter key.
4.Follow the instructions on the screen. See the section below, “When Running TEST,” for further instructions.
5.To exit either TEST or INSPECT, press the Esc key to reach the Exit option, then press the Enter key.
