7Removal and Replacement Procedures All-in One (AIO) Chassis

The following sections provide information about disassembling various components of the computer.

Procedures for disassembling both 6300 and 8300 models are the same unless noted.

Preparing to disassemble the computer

To avoid injury and equipment damage, always complete the following steps in order, when opening the HP Pro All-in-One.

1.Remove all media from the computer.

2.Shut down the computer.

3.After the system has completely shut down, disconnect the power adapter from the back of the computer.

4.Disconnect all other attached cables from the back of the computer.

5.If the height adjustable/recline stand is installed, before laying the computer down for service, position the computer vertically by grasping the sides of the display, and then raise the display to the highest position.

Place the computer face down on a soft flat surface. HP recommends that you set down a blanket, towel, or other soft cloth to protect the screen surface from scratches or other damage.

WARNING! If the height adjustable/recline stand is installed, do not lay the computer down with the sliding stand in the low position. The stand may suddenly release which could cause damage to equipment or injury.

WARNING! Beware of sharp edges inside the chassis.
