How to Recover the NetWare Operating System

This section describes how to recover the NetWare operating system using the NetWorker software. Use this process to recover the NetWare operating system back to the original computer, or to a different computer with the same name.

You can recover the operating system by performing:

A complete installation using install or nwconfig. In this instance, you perform a complete reinstallation and configuration of the operating system.

Alternatively, perform a partial installation using install or nwconfig. In this case, install and configure only those files that enable the computer to communicate over the network. Then, recover the remaining operating system and configuration files using the NetWorker software.
